“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)
God is very particular when it comes to the needs of His children. And in all honesty, it is natural for us humans to desire whenever we feel that we like something.
But most often, we get our minds mixed up if what we desire is just a want or a need.
Why is God asking us to present our requests to Him? Because this is an HONEST CONVERSATION of what we feel. The word that was used is PRESENT not demand. God wants us to give our wants to Him, that He may supply us with what actually we need.
Keep in mind that it is God who planned our lives. Even before we had the knowledge about the world, He has already prepared the path which leads to our purpose.
In short, our needs are directly connected to the purpose that God has prepared for us. Grace enables us to be qualified for these things.
So always look at how God is preparing you each day. Present your requests to God but ask for His will to be done. If God has given you a promise, hold on to it. Allow yourself to understand that promise by seeking God everyday, so that you may be satisfied with His provision. Everything that we need is in God. Keep your faith in God and He will supply whatever you need.
